John Moody

After earning his bachelor's degree in mortuary science and spending 13 years as a mortician and funeral home manager, John Moody saw firsthand how aftercare was often handled behind closed doors — with third parties, hidden fees, and little transparency. He founded Water Bridge Aquamation to change that. As Denver’s first pet funeral home specializing in aquamation, Water Bridge is built on the belief that families deserve better: honest guidance, respectful care, and a process they can trust from beginning to end.

Joe Kubelka, Operations Manager

With a Bachelor's Degree in Theater & Arts and a background as a lighting technician in the music industry, Joe manages much of what happens behind the scenes at Water Bridge Aquamation. As an artist and handyman, he oversees aquamation operations, creates memorial keepsakes, maintains equipment, and manages digital media. Joe brings a practical, creative approach to the many details involved in Water Bridge's daily operations.

Dr. Rachael Kubik

Dr. Rachael has spent most of her life in beautiful Colorado. Growing up on the Western Slope, she decided to stay in-state and attended undergraduate studies at CU Boulder. After leaving Colorado for a few years to attend veterinary school, she returned to Denver, where she has been practicing as a small-animal veterinarian since 2016.

She has developed a passion for geriatric and hospice care and has extensive experience providing both in-home and in-office euthanasia services. Dr. Rachael is a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV). In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Wade, and their pets, John McClane the cat and Hans Gruber the dog.

Dr. GRacE Krzan

Dr. Krzan is originally from Buffalo, New York, and moved to Colorado in 2022 after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in surgery and palliative care, including end-of-life care for pets.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her partner, Rory, as well as their two dogs, Remi and Ollie, and two cats, Melvin and Charlie. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, paddle boarding, reading, and taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer.

Dr. Taylor Gilbert

Dr. Taylor Gilbert is an integrative practitioner who has a passion for pain management and end-of-life care. Her interest started with her own dog, Buster Brown. He was diagnosed with lung cancer, and when it was time to say goodbye, Dr. Gilbert opted for an in-home euthanasia for Buster. Saying goodbye to her best friend in his favorite spot at home was a beautiful experience for Dr. Gilbert. Ever since then, she's aimed to give pets just like Buster Brown the gift of a dignified and comfortable passing, surrounded by their loved ones.

Ramón

Ramón is Joe and John's 13-year-old dog and serves as Water Bridge's official Welcoming Committee and emotional support pet. Originally from the Big Island of Hawaii, he now spends most of his days napping in the lobby and greeting visitors. He has a way of helping people feel a little more at ease, often without saying a thing.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog passed away late on a Friday night. I was distraught and inconsolable. We were able to meet with John within a couple of hours where he received my dog's body, walked us through the process and let us say our final goodbyes. It was one of the worst days of my life followed by the most painful week. John was sensitive, caring and understanding throughout the entire process, even when I showed up a day early to receive her ashes. I cannot imagine a different series of events that night and I'm thankful for the treatment I received. Even now it's difficult to recall anything positive from that night, but I do remember John giving me the space/time I needed and listening to my grief ramblings about an animal he had never met.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When my hammie passed, I was unsure of where I could take him. They popped up in my searches and i gave them a call. When I took in my hammie the next day, they greeted me with so much comfort, care, and love. They treated us with so much thought and consideration, almost like a wing placed on our backs like a blanket. I felt i did the right thing by giving them Lil Boy, my hamster, and get taken care of. They gave me an urn made out of bamboo, his paw prints, some of his fur, and some of his nose prints. As much as I miss him, I felt so fortunate and so lucky to have found Water Bridge Aquamation when I did in my moment of panic and sadness, but they took care of me since the first time the phone rang to the last time, where I got to take my hammie home once again. Thank you so much.
